Compressed air is a widely diffused energy source in every production field. Ambient air contains foul substances, dust, hydrocarbon steams and water; the physical process of compression causes the concentration of steams and solid particles in the hot discharge air, coming from compressor. Due to the cooling in the pipe network, the compressed air reaches saturation conditions, the steam condenses and produces water inside the piping.
Presence of water, oil, dust and acid substances in the compressed air network, causes corrosion problems and equipment failures, with consequent loss of production. Installation of filters and dryers on the compressed air line is the best solution to avoid corrosion and cut down maintenance costs.
COES offers a complete range of dryers and filters suitable to be installed on compressed air lines; in this way the problem is solved and the maintenance costs are reduced.
In the same way, it can be possible to find solutions for filtration, drying and purification of gas different from air like hydrogen, natural gas, oxygen, helium, carbon dioxide..
Adsorption air dryers
Adsorption air dryers are mostly needed when compressed air and gas dew point must be lower than 0°C, as they can grant high performances, with dew points up to –100°C at operating pressure.
